Like a lot of Venetian hotels, you can expect charming, traditional decor with antiques and parquet flooring. There are only 24 rooms in total and you’ll want to book a Junior Suite for the best canal views.

The hotel is directly located on the Grand Canal in a restored 19th-century palazzo. It’s just metres from the Rialto Bridge so it has an amazing location for exploring the best of the city.
I love the interiors at this hotel – it’s a good choice if you want something a little more sleek and stylish. Suites are the best choice for a Grand Canal view. However, some of the other rooms have partial canal views as well as modern amenities like a smart TV and a Nespresso coffee machine.

3749 Ponte Chiodo is a simple and charming guest house in the less touristy Cannaregio area. It’s a brilliant choice for an affordable hotel (I’d say it’s one of the best cheap Venice hotels with a canal view) and it’s still convenient for seeing the best of Venice.

Usually, I’m not an advocate of budget places but this hotel feels like a home away from home and is a peaceful option in a busy city. You can’t expect five-star hotel facilities and all the luxuries, but it’s a fab choice for a more local and authentic getaway.
Rooms are cosy and comfortable with original antique furniture. Some of the rooms overlook the little canal beside the hotel. Plus, there’s a lovely courtyard garden where you can enjoy breakfast or drinks in the summer.
