Want to honeymoon at a Sandals Resort? I don’t blame you! If you’re looking for the best Sandals Resorts for your honeymoon but don’t know which to pick – you’re in the right place.

I’ve worked in honeymoons for years and I’ve been lucky to collaborate with the team at Sandals on a few occasions. Their hotels are some of the BEST of the best so it’s an amazing choice for a dream honeymoon.

That said, I get that there’s a lot of choice. The company has 17 award-winning resorts in the most beautiful locations across the Caribbean so I know it can feel confusing knowing which Sandals Resort to choose.

So if you’re struggling to decide which to pick or where to go – I’ve got you! In this post, I’ll be sharing my top ten favourite Sandals Resorts as well as why each one could be the perfect fit for you.

Why choose Sandals for your honeymoon?

If you’ve found your way to this post, I’m assuming you know a little about Sandals Resorts already. It might be that you’re absolutely set on Sandals for your honeymoon and you just need to decide which one to book. OR, you might need a little extra convincing that this is the hotel brand you want to go for.

What makes Sandals Resorts a great choice for a honeymoon?

Sandals Resorts is known for being one of the best hotel brands in the Caribbean – especially for honeymooners. It’s a company that’s been on the scene for YEARS and has been voted World’s Leading All-Inclusive Company for 27 years in a row – it’s a mega achievement so you know it’s a reliable one to book with!

What I love is that Sandals has 17 luxury all-inclusive resorts across eight Caribbean islands. This means that if you’re set on the company, you’re likely to find a resort in a destination you love. 

Sandals Resorts also sets the bar pretty high for all-inclusive honeymoon luxury. I never used to be a huge fan of all-inclusive holidays but I’ve definitely been converted…

Sandals is a DREAM if you want to relax and be fully taken care of. They easily offer some of the best all-inclusive honeymoon resorts in the area.

2 Sandals Royal Curaçao

Location: Santa Barbara, Curaçao

Curaçao is one of those destinations that’s a little overlooked but it definitely needs to be on your bucket list. There aren’t a ton of all-inclusive resorts in Curaçao. Sandals Royal Curaçao only opened in 2022 so I’m guessing it’s a destination that will get more and more popular over time!

What I love about Sandals Royal Curaçao is that it has a lot of Sandals firsts. It includes the brand’s first ever off-site dining program which gives those booked into a butler suite a voucher to dine at a choice of restaurants outside the resort. It’s a brilliant option for foodies and if you love trying local places to eat. 

Sandals Royal Curaçao also has eight restaurants within the property as well as three beachside food trucks and 13 bars.

Another cool thing about this resort is that the more premium accommodations (Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalow & Awa Seaside Butler Bungalow) come with a complimentary Mini Cooper so you can get out and explore the island!

I love this upgraded accommodation and think it’s well worth splashing out on if you’re heading there on honeymoon. The Kurason Island Bungalows are arranged around a heart-shaped pool and the Awa Seaside Bungalows are right on the beach with Maldives villa vibes.

3 Sandals Regency La Toc 

Location: Castries, Saint Lucia

St Lucia is one of the most romantic locations in the Caribbean so obviously I had to include at least one of Sandals’ St Lucia’s resorts on this list!

Sandals Regency La Toc is probably my favourite of the three Sandals St Lucia resorts – it’s one of the best Sandals resorts for couples. A lot of the property is set on the hillside so it’s known for having the most incredible views of the Caribbean Sea.

If you want the best accommodation, the Sunset Bluff Millionaire Villas here are INCREDIBLE. They’re easily some of the most romantic and private – they’re set 150 feet above sea level and have retractable glass walls for amazing views.

You also get a private plunge pool and a personal butler so it’s an amazing choice if you want to make your honeymoon extra special.

Sandals Regency La Toc has a half-mile, crescent-shaped beach as well as three pools, 9 restaurants and 8 bars, including swim-up bars. You also get full access to everything at the two other Sandals Resorts in the area – Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Grande St. Lucian.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian arguably has the best beach of the three so you’ll be able to make the most of it. You also get access to 27 restaurants and 22 bars across the resorts!

4 Sandals South Coast

Location: Whitehouse, Jamaica

Sandals has 7 resorts in Jamaica and one of my favourites is Sandals South Coast.

This resort is set along a private 2-mile stretch of sand on the quieter south coast of Jamaica. It’s a luxury resort with a big focus on the coastline so if you’re a water lover – you’ll be in heaven!

The standout features of this Sandals resort for a honeymoon are its sandy beach, four large pools and its overwater bungalows. They’re on par with the overwater villas at Sandals Royal Caribbean (more on that below!) and are amazing for couples who want a super romantic, Maldives-style experience.

What makes this resort a little different from some of the other Jamaica resorts is that it’s known for its more laid-back and peaceful environment. It’s a good option if you want the best of Jamaica but with less of a party vibe!

Because of its location, this Jamaican resort would also be a nice choice if you love nature and eco activities. It’s located in a 500-acre nature reserve.

Best room: Blue Mahoe Overwater Butler Villa

5 Sandals Grenada

Location: St. George’s, Grenada

One of my favourite and best Sandals Resorts for a honeymoon is Sandals Grenada because I love the idea of a honeymoon to Grenada.

The destination itself is insanely beautiful with beaches, rainforests and mountains. It’s also an island that’s more under the radar than some of the others in the Caribbean so it can be nice for a quieter or more authentic experience.

Sandals Grenada is a beachfront resort set on the beautiful Pink Gin Beach on the island’s southernmost tip. The surroundings are super pretty so if you’re wanting a tropical, secluded resort, this is a good bet!

I really like the decor and furnishings at this resort – it’s upmarket and modern with traditional charm. There’s also a brilliant choice of rooms; from skypool suites with infinity pools to gorgeous rooms and thatched roof villas.

The resort is divided into different village areas and has 22 room categories so there’s a good choice of accommodation. You’ll definitely want a Butler Level room though!

You get all the usual Sandals inclusions here, too. There are 10 speciality restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. You also get unlimited premium liquors, six bars (including a swim-up bar) and a fully-stocked in-room mini bar.

6 Sandals Royal Caribbean

Location: Montego Bay, Jamaica

A lot of people are torn between the resorts in Jamaica. Like Sandals South Coast, Sandals Royal Caribbean is an amazing choice for a honeymoon especially because of its overwater villas (they were the first ones in the Caribbean!).

This resort is possibly one of the best for a luxurious experience in Jamaica. The overwater bungalows are heavenly and secluded – they have glass floors, private pools and butler service.

What makes this resort even better is that it has its own private island. This is where the overwater bungalows are but you’ll also find a pool, beach cabanas and a Thai restaurant. It’s a lovely touch for a more peaceful, island experience.

Sandals Royal Caribbean is close to the airport so it’s also super easy to get to. Plus if you stay at this resort, you get free access and transfers to Sandals Montego Bay. 

It’s worth keeping in mind that Sandals Montego Bay is the livelier of the two. But I personally prefer the quieter experience and love that you can make use of the facilities and entertainment over at Montego Bay if you want to anyway!

Best room: Overwater Private Island Butler Villa with Infinity Pool

7 Sandals Halcyon Beach

Location: Castries, Saint Lucia

I’ve already mentioned Sandals Regency La Toc but Sandals Halcyon Beach is another St Lucia Sandals Resort that needs to be on your list. 

Sandals Halcyon Beach is nestled in lush tropical gardens along a serene stretch of beach and is one of the most romantic and intimate honeymoon resorts in the Caribbean. 

Because of its setting, Sandals Halcyon Beach is known as the “Garden of Eden” of Sandals resorts – it’s perfect for couples who want peace, privacy and luxury.

I particularly love that this low-rise, low-key resort has a smaller size (with just 194 rooms). It has a charming and laid-back vibe, while still having the best amenities. 

It also includes the signature ‘Stay at One, Play at Three’ program so you can enjoy the facilities, restaurants and activities at Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Regency La Toc, too. 

Sandals Halcyon Beach is also a great choice if you’re a golf lover. You’ll get green fees all included at Cap Estate Golf & Country Club.

The accommodation is gorgeous at Sandals Halcyon Beach too. The Koko Rondoval Butler Villa Is my favourite – it’s a super private option with a secluded plunge pool.

8 Sandals Negril

Location: Negril, Jamaica

There are a lot of Sandals Resorts in Jamaica but Sandals Negril offers a unique blend of laid-back Caribbean charm and luxury beachfront living.

This resort is located directly on the famous Seven Mile Beach and is known for its boho-chic vibe and relaxed atmosphere – it’s more of a romantic, free-spirited, ‘toes-in-the-sand’ type place.

Unlike some of the larger or more formal Sandals properties, Negril is about that intimate, barefoot-luxury experience. It’s a great choice if you want somewhere peaceful and relaxed, surrounded by natural beauty.

Most rooms and suites at Sandals Negril are steps from the sea with some offering walk-out beach access, private pools or swim-up entrances. Guests can also enjoy Sandals’ signature inclusions like gourmet dining at 8 restaurants, unlimited premium drinks, water sports, and access to a gorgeous beachfront.

9 Sandals Dunn’s River

Location: Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Sandals Dunn’s River is one of the newest and most luxurious of the Sandals Resorts. It opened in 2023 and is located on Jamaica’s stunning north coast near the iconic Dunn’s River Falls. 

Because Sandals Dunn’s River is one of the newer resorts it feels extra fresh. It’s also contemporary and upscale in design but still has Jamaican flair. 

This resort blends modern design with natural beauty. It’s one of the best Jamaica Sandals Resorts for a honeymoon that’s high-end and filled with wow factor!

If you’re dreaming of next-level accommodation, I recommend the Coyaba Sky Villa Rondoval Butler Suite. It has a private rooftop terrace which is a Sandals first and is the perfect place for stargazing! This accommodation also has swim-up pool access and everything you’d expect from a top-level room.

Sandals Dunn’s River also has 9 bars and 12 gourmet restaurants with a focus on local and international cuisine. You’ll also be able to enjoy all the usual Sandals amenities, plus golfers can benefit from complimentary green fees at Upton Estate Golf & Country Club. 

Best room: Coyaba Sky Villa Swim-up Rondoval Butler Suite w/ Private Pool Sanctuary

10 Sandals Royal Plantation

Location: Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Sandals Royal Plantation is the smallest of all the Sandals properties so if you’re not sure about the idea of a huge all-inclusive resort – you’ll probably love this one!

This quaint resort has only 74 suites (all ocean view) so you can expect an intimate and romantic atmosphere. Because of this, it’s also a great choice if you’re after a more authentic, or boutique experience. It’s a resort with a lot of charm!

Even though you can expect amazing service at all Sandals Resorts, you’ll get super attentive staff at Sandals Royal Plantation – especially because all accommodation here has personalised butler service. 

The resort might be one of the more low-key and quieter Sandals Resorts but a lot of people prefer that. I love the casual and laid-back vibe.

Even though it’s small, you still have access to five on-site restaurants and two bars. Plus your stay includes full access to Sandals Ochi so you can make the most of all the facilities and the 16 additional dining options there, too!
