Falling in the peak season, August is a brilliant time to visit when you can expect glorious sunny days. You’ll have plenty of opportunities for sunbathing, but you’ll want to explore the rest of the country, too – it’s one of the world’s most photogenic locations!
If you want to go island hopping on your honeymoon, you’ll be able to visit the islands of Bora Bora, Tahiti and Moorea. You can also take part in hiking trips, cultural excursions and adventure activities so it’s a good option if you want lots to see and do.

Elsewhere in Scotland, you’ll be able to take in the breathtaking scenery. August is one of the best times to visit when it’s British summertime so you’ll be able to get out and explore. Consider visiting the Outer Hebrides, the Scottish Highlands or road tripping the incredible North Coast 500.

Whether you want to stay in one luxury resort for your entire honeymoon, or you fancy hopping between islands, Fiji will absolutely deliver. It’s a seriously romantic destination and I promise it won’t disappoint.

If you’re anything like me, you don’t need convincing to go to the Caribbean. There’s a good reason why this region is synonymous with honeymoons – it truly is a paradise!

It might be the rainy season, but this shouldn’t put you off – I visited Barbados in August and rain was never a problem. It’s still tropical, sunny and perfect for those heavenly beach days.
August is also brilliant in Barbados because of Crop Over festival. This is considered one of the best festivals and trust me – it’s so much fun! This is a time when the island is vibrant with so much going on… It’s an amazing time for a honeymoon celebration.
