Choosing when to take your honeymoon is as important as deciding where to go. The time of year shapes your trip – from the weather and crowds to what you’ll experience when you arrive.

In the past, lots of couples would honeymoon straight after their wedding day. BUT, there are so many reasons why you might not want to do this. For example, if you marry in July but want to go to the Maldives – July is the peak rainy / monsoon season!

Because seasonality makes such a big difference, I’ve put together this month-by-month guide to the best honeymoon destinations around the world.
