If you want to go island hopping on your honeymoon, you could visit the islands of Bora Bora, Tahiti and Moorea in August. You could also take part in hiking trips, cultural excursions and adventure activities so it’s a good option if you want lots to see and do.

There are so many game reserves and national parks in South Africa so you have several options for a dream safari. Kruger is the most famous destination and it’s brilliant in August when it’s the middle of the cooler dry season. In August, you can expect sunny weather in Mauritius with temperatures of around 25°C so it’s perfect for the beach. Just be aware that trade winds affect the south and east of the island at this time, so go for a resort on the north or west coasts instead.

August is also brilliant in Barbados because of Crop Over festival. This is an amazing festival that’s so much fun! It’s an amazing time to visit for a honeymoon celebration.
